It scares him a little. With K, somehow, the great is almost an anticipation though, the fear before the drop out of a plane when you have a parachute.
It's a kind of anticipation that K doesn't know what to do with, that he's more cautious of - there's real fear in him for the consequences of others knowing his thoughts - but he allows himself to be swept along in it, glancing over his shoulder.
It startles K too, but in the best way; his smile is instant, though he reins it in when he sees the followup, when it resonates with what he gets off the man beside him via... whatever this is.
Concern, then, the reason he hesitates but he does nod.
He recognizes them of course, and the bits of memory tangled in with them that show up in flashes that wouldn't make a full picture except K was there.
He's... touched that it meant that much to Jesus. That he does. It's a new feeling for him and he sinks into it, sinks into the kiss, soaking it up while he has it.
There is, after all, no telling how long they'll last.
His thoughts are images again: K's smile when they first wake in the morning, the way he concentrates when photographing a leaf in the snow, the taste of tobacco on his lips. There's just a vague sense of happiness and warmth, and he breaks the kiss with a self conscious chuckle.

And the intensity of that thought scares him, makes him swallow and regroup mentally. He has only one free night left but that's never stopped him.
"Want to come home with me? Or did you have plans?"
