He laughs at the joke, but her question sobers him.

"Midnighter." He doesn't know if she knows who he is, doesn't know how far the man's reputation goes. Given the ways he's propositioned Jesus twice though, he's not sure Midnighter even reaches out to women at all.

"I hooked up with him, not realizing he was the one who put a knife in Scott's back. I'm pretty good at reading people; he never read as dangerous to me the whole time I was with him. But it scared Drake."

"Scott seems like a hardass. I'm assuming this Midnighter is too, if he wasn't able to stop him?"

Rosita loves Jesus, but if he tried to torture her even under the influence of this place somehow, she wouldn't just let it happen.
